My great grandfather, George Washington Bowman, was born,1836, in Selinsgrove, Pa. After he married, Mary Jane Hickson, from Mifflin County, they came back to Selinsgrove & raised a big family. He served in the Cavalry in the Civil War. Later, they moved to Mill Hall, Clinton County, PA where they lived into their late 80’s & early 90’s. They were hard working good folks..
